Why Choose Audacity's Funded Trader Program

Flexible rules, high upside, and practical conditions designed for serious funded traders.

Static Drawdown

Your loss limit is fixed, not a moving target that creeps up as you profit. On expand: Audacity uses static drawdown, so a winning day can never tighten the floor beneath you the way trailing-drawdown models do.

No Consistency Rule

One strong day won't disqualify your payout. On expand: With no consistency rule, you can take your best setups without rationing profits across days to hit a quota.

News & Weekends

Trade the events that move markets, and hold through the weekend. On expand: News trading and weekend holding are allowed on every program, so you're never sidelined during the highest-opportunity sessions.

EAs & Copy Trading

Automate your edge or mirror a proven system. On expand: Expert Advisors and copy trading are permitted on MT5, within the prohibited-strategy rules.

Up to 90% Profit

Keep the lion's share of what you earn. On expand: You keep up to 90% profit share on the profits you generate, paid on a regular schedule.

Scale to $2M

Grow your capital as you keep performing. On expand: Hit your targets and your account doubles each time, letting you scale to $2M so success compounds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Program Overview & Getting Started
What is Audacity Capital's Funded Trader Program?

Audacity Capital’s Funded Trader Program allows traders to access trading capital without risking large amounts of their own money. Instead of trading personal funds, traders operate funded accounts within structured risk parameters.

What is a funded trader account?

A funded trader account is an account provided by a prop firm that lets you trade with the firm's capital instead of your own. In return, you keep a share of the profits while following the firm's trading rules.

Is a funded trader account real money?

The payouts are real money, paid from Audacity's own funds on the profit you generate. Depending on your account, you trade in a simulated environment that mirrors live prices or a live one, both under real market conditions. What you withdraw is yours to keep, up to 90% of your profit.

How much does a funded trader program cost?

Evaluation routes start low, and the fee is fully refundable on your first payout, so a successful run effectively costs you nothing. Instant funding costs more upfront because you skip the evaluation entirely.

How quickly can I start trading?

With instant funding, you can trade your funded account as soon as your purchase and identity check clear. On an evaluation route, you start the moment your account is issued, usually the same day. There's no waiting list and no lengthy approval.

Do I need experience to join a funded trader program?

You don't need a track record, but you do need a tested strategy and the discipline to follow the risk rules. If you're newer, build your skills first; Trader University walks you through the essentials. The rules are the same for everyone, so come prepared.

Can US residents join a funded trader program?

Yes, via DXTrade where permitted. A few jurisdictions are restricted, including Syria, Iran, and North Korea, so check that your country is eligible before signing up. If you're unsure, our support team can confirm.

Will I get a free funded account once I pass a Trial account?

No. Passing the Free Trial does not automatically earn you a funded account. The Trial is for practice only. To become a funded trader, you must successfully complete one of Audacity Capital's funding programs, such as the Ability Challenge, Ability One, or Funded Trader Program (FTP).

Is there a free way to get funded?

Yes. Enter our free monthly trading competition, and if you finish near the top you win a funded account challenge, a free evaluation you can pass to get funded. It's a genuine no-cost route in, though the prize is the challenge itself, not instant live capital.

Can I trade on the Funded Trader Program and Ability Challenge at the same time?

Yes, our programs are designed to work seamlessly together, providing an integrated trading experience. However, please note that there is a maximum volume size for purchasing accounts in both the Ability Challenge and Funded Trader Program

Fees, Payments & Profit Sharing
Are there any hidden fees?

One-Time Joining Fee: The Ability and Funded Trader Programs require a single joining fee, which varies based on your selected starting capital and account type. Purpose of the Fee: These fees are not designed for profit but instead cover essential expenses such as data, technology, and administrative costs to support your trading experience. Commitment & Support: The joining fee reflects your dedication to trading with us, as we aim to establish long-term relationships with our traders. For more details on fees and program offerings, visit our Ability Challenge and Funded Trader Program pages here https://audacity.capital/funded-trader-program.

What are the terms of your refund policy?

Once a trader starts trading on their account, the fees become non-refundable. This policy applies to both full and partial refunds for the Ability Challenge and Funded Trader Program. We encourage traders to carefully consider their commitment before initiating any trading activities.

How much of the profit do I keep?

You keep up to 90% of the profit you generate, one of the highest splits in the industry. Your share is paid on a regular bi-weekly schedule once you've met the withdrawal conditions. See the rules section for the full breakdown by route.

When do I receive my payouts?

Payouts are processed bi-weekly, with the first payout available 14 days after your first live trade.

What payout methods are available?

Audacity Capital supports multiple payout methods. Available options are displayed in your trader dashboard.

Is the challenge fee refundable?

Yes. Eligible traders can receive up to a 100% refund of the challenge fee with their first qualifying payout.

Accounts, Platforms & Technical
Which trading platforms are supported?

Audacity Capital supports MetaTrader 5 (MT5) and DXtrade across its funded trading programs.

What is your broker and server name?

Broker: Audacity Global Limited Server MT5: AudaCityGlobal-Live In DXTrade, we provide Username and Password via email upon account purchase.

Are VPN and VPS permitted?

As part of our standard policy, the use of VPN services by traders is generally prohibited due to concerns related to IP tracking and the risk of server misuse. However, in special cases where a trader presents a valid justification, we may consider allowing VPN usage. In such instances, the trader will be required to submit detailed information outlining the purpose of the VPN. These requests will be carefully reviewed and are subject to approval. Conversely, the use of a VPS is permitted, provided it is utilized for Expert Advisors (EAs) in a manner that does not result in server abuse. You are allowed to trade using other WiFi networks. However, please be aware that our risk team is closely monitoring traders' accounts. If we detect any server abuse through the use of arbitrage, HFT, DCA, or other prohibited strategies, we will immediately and permanently deactivate the account. Thank you for your understanding.

Can I use a company name to have an account with Audacity Capital?

Unfortunately, we only allow our traders own name and details upon purchasing an account since we ask for their KYC upon payout request.

What are the guidelines regarding account inactivity?

Both Ability accounts (all stages) and the Funded Trader Program follow a six-month inactivity rule. If there is no trading activity within this period, the account will be permanently disabled and breached. For free trial accounts, inactivity will lead to automatic disabling after 30 days. Make sure to stay active and engaged to keep your account in good standing!

Which instruments can I trade?

You can trade Forex, Indices, Commodities, and other supported CFDs, depending on your chosen program.

What are the trading hours?

Trading hours depend on the market and instrument you're trading. Most Forex markets operate 24 hours a day, Monday to Friday.

Trading Rules & Account Conditions
What are the drawdown limits for the Ability Challenge and the Funded Trader Program?

Ability Challenge Daily Drawdown Challenge Phase has a daily drawdown of 7.5% Verification Phase has a daily drawdown of 5% Live Phase has a daily drawdown of 5% Maximum Drawdown Challenge Phase has a maximum drawdown of 15% Verification Phase has a maximum drawdown of 10% Live Phase has a daily drawdown of 10% Funded Trader Program Daily Drawdown Maintain a daily drawdown limit of 5%. Maximum Drawdown Program imposes a maximum drawdown of 10%. For reference to MetaTrader server times: March - October* MT5: 22:00 GMT+1 (12am GMT+3) November - February* MT5: 22:00 GMT+0 (12am GMT+2) *please note times are subject to change due to daylight saving time in the UK Ability Challenge Drawdown Daily Drawdown The maximum daily drawdown threshold resets every day at 12AM GMT+2 time based on balance or equity whichever is higher during the rollover. Initially, the daily drawdown amount is set to 7.5% of the balance or equity whichever is greater during the rollover (it is 5% during the Verification phase). During the day if your balance or equity goes above your balance or equity from where the daily drawdown threshold was calculated during the rollover your daily drawdown threshold also moves up and gets calculated again from your new equity high that was made during the trading day. Examples: Scenario 1 The trader has a $120k Account. They have a max daily drawdown of $9k during Challenge Phase, so the Daily Drawdown level is set at $111k for the day. The trader opens the first trade and closes it with profit $3k. Their balance is now $123k and the new daily drawdown threshold is set at $113,775 (7.5% from $123k). They open another position and close it at a loss of $10k. The balance is now $113k. Result - The Account is breached since the Daily drawdown level for the day was set at $113,775 and the balance is 113k. Scenario 2 The trader has a $60k Account. They have a max daily drawdown of $4.5k during the Challenge Phase, so the Daily Drawdown level is set at $55.5k for the day. The trader opens the first trade and holds it till the end of the day at a profit of 4k and the day resets. At 12AM GMT+2 server time, the balance is 60k and floating equity becomes 64k so for that day the daily drawdown limit becomes $4.8k (7.5% of 64k), and the daily drawdown level is set at $64k - $4.8k = $59.2k. Now suppose the trade reverses and closes at a loss of $1k and the balance becomes $59k. Result - The Account is violated since the daily drawdown level for the day was set at $59.2k and the balance became $59k. Scenario 3 The trader has a $120k Account. They have a max daily drawdown of $9k during the Challenge Phase, so the Daily Drawdown level is set at $111k for the day. The trader opens the first trade and holds it till the end of the day at a floating loss of 6k and the day resets. At 12AM GMT+2 server time, the balance is 120k and floating equity becomes 114k so for that day the daily drawdown level will calculated from the balance as it is higher than equity and will be set at $111k. Now the trade closes at a losses of 10k and the balance becomes $110k Result - The Account is violated since the daily drawdown level for the day was set at $111k and the balance became $110k Maximum Drawdown Maximum Total Drawdown | 15% and 10% The maximum total drawdown is 15% during the challenge phase. Therefore, the equity of the account must not fall below 85% of the initial account balance both for open and closed positions, including commissions and swaps. Example: For a $60k Challenge account, your equity shall never go below $51k. The maximum total drawdown is 10% during the Verification and Live phase. Therefore, the equity must not fall below 90% of the initial account balance both for open and closed positions, including commissions and swaps. Example: For a $60k Verification account, your equity shall never go below $54k. Funded Trader Program Drawdown Daily Drawdown The maximum daily drawdown threshold resets every day at 12AM GMT+2 time based on balance or equity whichever is higher during the rollover Initially, the daily drawdown amount is set to 5% of the balance or equity whichever is greater during the rollover. During the day if your balance or equity goes above your balance or equity from where the daily drawdown threshold was calculated during the rollover your daily drawdown threshold also moves up and gets calculated again from your new equity high that was made during the trading day. Examples: Scenario 1 The trader starts with a $15,000 account and has a maximum daily drawdown limit of $750. On the first trade, they lose $500, reducing the account balance to $14,500. The trader then opens a second position, which goes into a drawdown of more than $250. Result - The account is violated since the overall loss for the day is more than $750 Scenario 2 The trader has a $60k Account. They have a max daily drawdown of $3k initially. The trader opens the first trade and closes it with profit $2k. Their balance is now $62k, and the new daily drawdown threshold is set at $58.9k (5% of $62k). They open another trade and make a loss of $3.5k and the balance becomes $58.5k. Result - The account is violated since the account balance reached till $58.5k whereas the daily drawdown level was set at $58.9k Scenario 3 The trader has a $30k Account. They have a max daily drawdown of $1.5k. On the first day the max daily drawdown is set at $28.5k. The trader opens the first trade and loses $1k. The trader opens the second position and makes $800. The balance is now $29.8k. The Trader opens a new position and it is floating a $1k drawdown. The day now resets (12AM GMT+2 server time) and their max daily drawdown will be calculated based on the balance $29.8k minus the max DD on the day $1490 which equals $28,310. The trade turns around to go into profit and is floating $700 in profit. The day changes (12AM GMT+2 server time) and the trade is held overnight. The balance is $29.8k but the floating equity is $30.5k. Their max daily drawdown will be calculated based on the equity $30.5k (because it is higher than balance) minus the max DD on that day $1,525 (5% of $30.5k), which equals $28,975. Without going any higher the trade reverses and comes back to break even. They close the position. Their balance now is $29.8k. Result - The account is still valid since the current balance is above the daily drawdown level. Maximum Drawdown Maximum Total Drawdown | 10% The maximum total drawdown is 10% during the Funded Trader Program. Therefore, the equity must not fall below 90% of the initial account balance both for open and closed positions, including commissions and swaps. Example: For a $15k FTP account, your equity shall never go below $13.5k.

What are the profit goals for the Ability Challenge and the Funded Trader Program?

Ability Challenge Profit Target Challenge Phase has a profit target of 10% Verification Phase has a profit target of 5% There is no profit target on the live stage. Funded Trader Program Profit Target To be eligible for withdrawal, the profit target is 10%.

Is there a time limit for trading in the Ability Challenge and the Funded Trader Program?

Both the Ability Challenge and the Funded Trader Program offer unlimited trading time. However, please be aware of our inactivity rule.

How is the Consistency Score determined?

The Consistency Score measures how consistently you generate profits over time. Traders should avoid relying on a small number of oversized winning trades to meet the required consistency criteria.

What is the available leverage?

The Ability Challenge offers a leverage of 1:100 throughout the challenge, verification, and Live phases across all assets. Meanwhile, the Funded Trader Program provides a leverage of 1:30 across all assets.

Is it necessary to set a Stop Loss?

No. A stop loss is not mandatory, but it's strongly recommended to help manage risk and avoid breaching drawdown limits.

Is scalping allowed?

Yes, scalping is permitted. However, each individual trade must remain open for a minimum of two (2) minutes. Trade(s) closed in less than two minutes, or trading activity that appears suspicious or resembles arbitrage (which is prohibited), may result in action by our Risk Team. All trades are closely monitored by the Risk Team.

Can I trade news and hold trades over the weekend?

Yes, on every program. News trading and weekend holding are both allowed, so you can trade the events that actually move markets and carry positions through to Monday. Plenty of firms restrict one or both; we don't.

Can I use Expert Advisors or copy trading?

Yes, on the funded program using MT5, within our prohibited-strategy rules. Expert Advisors and copy trading are both permitted, so you can automate your edge or mirror a proven system. Automation is not allowed in the free competition.

What are the prohibited strategies?

Prohibited Strategies: High-Frequency Trading (HFT) Using High-Frequency Trading (HFT) bots, Expert Advisors (EA), and HFT algorithms is not allowed on our platforms under any circumstances. HFT involves using advanced computer programs and high-speed networks to make lots of trades very quickly, often in fractions of a second. We prohibit HFT because it can lead to market manipulation, give unfair advantages, and cause market instability. If any trader is found using HFT, they will violate our Terms of Use and will be banned from trading on our platform. For examples of HFT abuse, please refer to the sections on Trading on Delayed Data Feed and Trading on Delayed Trading Chart below. HFT includes complex trading strategies that execute many orders in a very short time. One prohibited HFT strategy is Latency Arbitrage, which exploits the time delay between when a trade is made and when market data is received. Hedging or Group Hedging Across Multiple Accounts Hedging or group hedging across multiple accounts, on the other hand, refers to a trading strategy where an individual or group of individuals open multiple accounts with the same firm or different firms and place trades in opposite directions (i.e., buy/sell), on the same asset, across all accounts. This can be done in an attempt to profit from the price movements of an asset without having to take on significant market risk. This type of trading behavior is also known as "Arbitrage" and "Grid Trading" and is not permitted at Audacity Capital. However, while trading with a Firm, you would be losing the firm money on one account and generating a profit on the other, resulting in risk-free profits, which are violations of compliance with the functioning of the real financial market. Martingale Trading The Martingale trading strategy is a way of trading where you increase the lot size that you trade after each loss, hoping that a win will recover all the previous losses and make a profit. This method is like gambling and is very risky because it can lead to big losses and losing all your money if you have a long losing streak. In theory, this strategy always works, but in real life, it only works if you have unlimited money. Companies set a limit on how much you can lose, and traders should plan their strategy based on this limit. It's important to have a clear plan to manage risks and not risk your entire account on one trade. Therefore, this kind of trading is not allowed at Audacity Capital. Dollar Cost Averaging Dollar Cost Averaging(DCA) is a way of trading where you keep on opening a position of the same lot size or a different size every time the trade starts going against your bias, hoping that the price will reverse eventually and you will end up making a profit. This strategy is effective while investing in an asset for long term, however, while trading with prop firms it is risky and could let to drawdown violations if the price fails to reverse. We require our traders to have a proper trading plan and solid risk management while trading with us rather than simply adding more positions to a losing trade, hence this trading style is prohibited. Note: The Risk team reviews the account when you pass the challenge or request a payout and if any nefarious activities are found then AudaCity Capital has the right to ask the traders to change their trading strategy or even breach the account in some cases.

What is the maximum lot size?

Following our migration update on May 30, 2025, all assets are now available in standard lot sizes. While there are no overall lot size restrictions on the account, our provider has implemented a maximum limit of 10 lots per open position as part of risk management measures. You may open multiple positions, but each individual position cannot exceed 10 lots.

What is the max account allocation I'm allowed to have?

You can hold a maximum combined account allocation of up to $2 million, subject to Audacity Capital's allocation policy.

What happens if I break a rule?

If you exceed a limit, the account is paused or breached. The two to watch are the static daily loss (the most you can lose in a single day) and the maximum loss (your overall floor), and both are fixed rather than trailing. Stay inside them and your account keeps running.

Do you reset an account once it breaches a rule?

No. Accounts that breach the trading rules are not reset. You'll need to purchase a new evaluation to continue.
